Okay, challenge time this week. Challenge time is fun! The challenge this week is to be happy all week long. I said that to some people and they found out it was really quite difficult to be happy all week. Too many things kept coming in. The second part of the challenge is to keep going this week with the idea that failure is a stepping-stone to your success. Label your failures very clearly so you will know where to step on them. If you're not sure, say "Failure!" and then use it to go. You are going to see your successes coming forward so fast that you're going to say, "Wow! I was creating the idea of failure, but that's retreating in another direction, or going forward towards the rear, or however you want to call it." Any movement is a movement forward.

Do you know that every time failure comes and sits on your doorstep success comes right along behind it, because we are a success motivated organism? We're goal seekers, we're goal strivers, and this means we're going to get there. If it were easy, you would have already have done it. It's a challenge. But then isn't everything around you a challenge on some level within your consciousness? One of the greatest challenges that you have will be to live your life -- regardless. We will all have a chance to look back at how we have lived. If you have lived your life and place no blame anywhere -- for your success or for your failure -- then, when that time comes to look, you'll find that you will be very merciful to yourself.

It is time to stop living other people's opinions. And don't insist that other people live your opinion. That's a challenge - let them do it any way they want to. This week, on whatever level you find yourself, work the level you are on. That means if you are out there and you are emotionally out of balance, get yourself back so you are in balance. If you get out there talking about something that you don't know what you are talking about, get back out of there. If you physically have taken on some responsibilities that you are not able to follow through with, tell them, "I can't do this for you, I want to get back to where I can do what I said I can do." And get back there. Lead your life the way you find it. If you find yourself sitting in a wheelchair right now, lead your life right there, right now, live it 100% right now. You don't have to live anywhere but right here, right now. If there is something that you find is not working for you - then you work it for you - if you don't work it 100%, work it 1% - next time work it 2%, and you keep working it.

Let me repeat that again for you. It is simple to give into despair, to give up to mistakes and to give out only resentment and hatred. It is simple. Strong is the one who casts despair into the spaces beyond danger, who conquers the desire to stop trying because errors have been made, who holds no malice toward anyone, and no discourtesy toward the rude. Grant to all the right to love as he or she can. That's not being done. We're told you can only love if you love the way I want you to love. How boring. To love only according to a book. How boring. How exciting to love from the place of eternal giving. How tremendous to look at someone and inside of you feel that loving for them to such a degree that no matter what they say or do you can find the positive upliftment for yourself. If they find it not, that's their lesson.

This week look at the areas where you feel tremendous desire and ask yourself, "Do I need that?" If you need that, it is not a desire area, it is not a depression area. That's the difference. If you say, "I need that," and it produces irritation and anxiety, maybe you're not in a need area, maybe you're in a desire area and you can't handle it. Then see what you can do from that point to create positively what you want more of in your life.

The challenge this week is to have the wit, the strength, the courage, what ever name you put on it, to look at a false image in your life. And remove it. Then place a true image in its place. The Bible says, "Thou shall have no false gods before me. No graven images. Only God and the Light." We put up false images and worship them, and spend a lot of time with them. Put up a true image, and live it. You're going to lift people around you without saying a word. You're going to smile and say, "God bless you, and I love you, and hey, it's okay, you can do it your way.

Our challenge is to take what we've learned and share it. You may have heard the song, "Love is the strangest thing that I know. You keep it around by letting it go." That's why I keep sharing this work with other people. If we don't share what we've learned, if we don't reach out and share our experience with others, then there is very little value in our having participated. What we're dealing with is the overall upliftment of society -- the actual transformation of the planet. That transformation is possible if we are willing to reach out -- if we're willing to communicate, to share, and to touch those people in our lives.

This is a challenge week. It's observation week -- this week will be a week of observation. Take a good look at your life, and write down what game you find yourself in. Was it a physical game? Was it a sexual game? Was it an emotional game? Was it an intellectual game? Were you hung up on an opinion? Was it an emotional opinion or an intellectual opinion? Did somebody sit on their white horse up in the ivory tower with their degree and say, "Oh, are you all wrong," and you believed it? Write it down. Check it out. Always check it out. Just because somebody says it, does not make it so. It only is so, when it's so inside of you. You don't have to get upset, you don't have to get angry or frustrated, you don't have to think they're right or they're wrong. You don't even have to enter into the game. And that's what really becomes fun.

Increase your worth in your consciousness. Become the You that you are. Fulfill your physical level, and let it spill over into the spiritual levels. Don't cheat yourself. Don't hold back. If some happiness comes in, reach out and grab it. If it's there for thirty seconds, use a hundred percent of it. If it's there for two days, use a hundred percent of it. And if it slips out of your hands in twenty minutes, don't think, "Well, maybe I shouldn't have enjoyed it, because now it's gone." It has been slipping away from you all along anyway, so when it's available, increase the happiness towards yourself. If somebody has some joy, unfold it towards you. If they have positive words, and a strong, uplifting feeling, unfold that towards your own life.

You only get negative feedback when you try to possess. You only get negative feedback when your desires get beyond you and you try to possess. If you relax and let things go, you've got it. Really the only time you can possess is when you let go. So the challenge this week is watch what you are trying to possess. If you have the consciousness of "this is mine," it will probably be taken from you. But if you say this, "I am using this until it can be used in a greater way by other people," then you will probably become the greater people that use it the greater way.

Some people will mistake the ego for spiritual qualities. These people are going to stumble and fall. Don't violate your consciousness of charity by rejoicing in their mistake. Instead, as a challenge this week, see if you can help people without picking them up. Say, "I am with you, God bless you, I love you, and I can't do it for you." Encourage them to go on and to complete those things that seem difficult to complete. Support them and lift them. See if you can lift them without doing it for them.

If you don't want the burden that somebody is putting on you this week, see if you can very cleverly not do it, but, without inflicting upon them. If it is your responsibility, do it so magnificently that it becomes a joy. And if it's not your responsibility, then don't let people place a burden on you.

If you take a negative thought over to the next morning, you are on the way to building more karma. This is why we say, don't go to bed with things hanging on your head. Get up and write them on a piece of paper and burn it, if you have to. If you could call up a person and say, "Look, I misrepresented myself and I just want to square it," you're further ahead. But watch out, because this thing called pride is going to keep you from doing it. The challenge this week is watch and see where your pride has gone just before you fell.

Think back to when you first came into your own movement of spiritual inner awareness. When people talked about love, you thought, "Yeah, that means sex, go to bed and have conjugal relationships." People were talking about love but no one made an overture towards you. For a little while you may have thought perhaps you weren't all that appealing, and so you felt a little rejected. Then it dawned on you that they were talking about love, not sex. And then you found out that they were talking about an intangible process and the challenge came upon you -- to know more about this intangible process that people labeled "love".

At some point you will have to sit down and say, "I will do these spiritual exercises, I will do them for a week, 30 minutes a day, I will do it and then I will know. I won't have to doubt or believe, I will know." This is what I say over and over to people to challenge them. I say, "Have you done this?" They say, "Well, no." I say, "I can tell you no more. If you won't sit down to prove me wrong, then don't call me wrong." People say, "Well, I don't know if these spiritual exercises will work," and I say, "OK, next." My knowing for you won't do it, will it? Your knowing for you does it. This week know things, know them, and become more consciously aware.

You have a right to declare your personal and impersonal life just because you have a Soul, and because you are a Child of the Light. And you have a right to declare that you are Divine, and that you're a responsible creator. You declare it. Now comes the challenge. Now that you declare it, can you maintain that? If you can, then you have entered into mastership. And if you can't, you've entered into the fool. So be very careful what you are disclaiming, or claiming, to make sure that you can follow through.
